Fall Out Boy – Dance Dance Easy Guitar Lesson

For this very easy bass cover we are only going to need the top two strings and a good ability to switch between the two when required. The part we are learning is the very recognizable bass riff played during the intro to the song and throughout the tune at various points. First off we need to play the 2nd fret of the 2nd string down – twice. Now we move up to the 5th fret of the same string and play that note twice before playing the same string open – twice. Without hesitation we move to the 3rd fret of the 1st string and play that twice before moving back to the 5th fret of the 2nd string and playing twice until finishing by playing an open 2nd string twice. By playing this a couple of times, you should begin to feel familiar with the tune and start playing to the right tempo. Make sure you use different combinations of your fingers and not just stick to one single finger to get the best and smoothest sound from this bass riff. Dance Dance!
